16 Nov 2012 Annual Report: A Culture Excited About Jazz

The Art of Cool Project (AOCP) aims to preserve, present and promote the local jazz and art scene in the Raleigh-Durham area. Our short term goal is to host a regional jazz festival in downtown Durham in 2014. Longer term, we hope to both launch an international jazz festival and secure an endowed building which will serve as the venue for rehearsals, recordings, performances, classes, and the like. Our core values are

  1. To Present the Best Jazz in the Triangle
  2. To Build a Culture excited about jazz
  3. To Expand the Triangle jazz audience
  4. To Educate young musicians
